So we are approaching the halfway mark of January and with us being in the second week of the year, I had a deep realization driving home to Joshua Tree the other day about New Year’s Resolutions. I’ve been passionate about psychology since I was in High School. Years of overcoming depression and mental health issues after being struck by lightning, I’ve been able to understand the breadcrumbs from my past and how they are showing me the clues to my future and how I’m here to serve.
Business Insider recently shared that about 80% of people fail their New Year’s Resolutions by February. 80 PERCENT! That’s NUTS! Because I’m someone who loves to come up with solutions, I wanted to dive in and understand why is this so.
What better way to understand than by allowing myself to get radically honest with myself as to why I’ve failed my resolutions in the past. I’m a firm believer that the inner creates the outer and that each of us are all part of this Golden Web. The way we show up in our lives trickles into hue-manity. There is no separation where I begin and you begin. It’s our egos that separate us.
Since becoming a Kundalini Yoga teacher 5 years ago and diving into the world of Modern Mysticism, it’s been evident to me about the importance of understanding the truth that we are spiritual beings having a hue-man experience and that there is something to be said about the power and influence the stars and planets have on our lives. From my own reflection and understanding, I’ve been able to understand that I have an opportunity to work with the cosmos to uplevel my business and life since I’m in this symbiotic relationship with them. We are made from the same elements as the stars and the moon and as you begin to do the deep inner work and unravel the layers of you that’ve been conditioned as your reality by media and society, you’ll begin to unleash the truth of who you are.
Before the Gregorian Calendar was adopted, the English new year began on March 25. This day was known as Lady Day which honored the Virgin Mary until 1752 in Britain. The Gregorian Calendar was setup by the patriarchal system of the Catholic church to replace the Julian Calendar which was began in 45 BC. As you may or may not know, Easter is the first Sunday after the Spring Equinox, when the sun begins to shine brighter. Since the West has ruled power over the world for centuries, there’s another calendar out there that many mystics and students of the Eastern Medicines and traditions follow, the Chinese New Year. The first day of the Chinese New Year begins on the first day of the New Moon between January 21st and February 20. Each year is ruled by a different animal like we honor in astrology. In 2019, we’re experiencing the year of the Pig. You are seeing more and more mystics and healing arts practitioners honoring the Chinese New Year vs 1/1 because we understand the power and the influence of the lunar cycle. I have a whole chapter dedicated to la luna and astrology in my signature program, THRIVE, dedicate to those who are ready to unleash their medicine with the world.
Change doesn’t happen overnight. It takes devotion and commitment to anchor in what it is you desire. Things can be lingering as you come off the high or lows of the holidays. Many people have family issues that affect them after the holidays. They may see family members struggling and it takes a toll on them. There can also be pieces of the year before that are transmuting and in the process of transformation. I mean, there’s no accident why people get sick towards the end of the year or the beginning of the new. They are again, making room for what’s to come. Allow yourself to be gentle. Winter is a time of cultivating and preserving energy for the year ahead, so don’t be so hard on yourself. Rather, choose to come up with a plan that feels supportive from the lessons you learned from the year before.
Eclipses are powerful portals for transformations. Often times, we are asked to dive in deep to heal and transmute what doesn’t serve in order to make room for what’s to come. These eclipses affect everyone differently. They are cosmic blessings to implement change and come between every full and new moon as a pair for a Lunar (full moon) and Solar (new moon) eclipse. A Lunar eclipse occurs when the sun, Earth and the moon are essentially in alignment. Because of this straight line, Earth creates a shadow in which the moon passes through in the umbra. Since the moon stands between the sun and the moon, the moon has no light of her own and reflects the light of the sun with the illusion of the sun disappearing. A Solar eclipse, on the other hand, occurs when the moon stands between the sun and Earth, cutting off the light of the sun. Because of this, the energy of the moon and the sun is extremely potent. There is a momentum here to keep going because these eclipses are indicators of massive life changes about to be experienced. We can find ourselves wanting to give up when the going gets tough, but it’s always important to remember why you even started.
Like any cycle, you must be able to plant seeds in fertile soil if you want to to grow abundant crops. During the New Moon, the sun and moon are both in the same sign. There is a balance of the lunar and solar energy as the earth finds itself in alignment with the sun and moon. There is a freshness in the air during this fertile time. The stars shine brightest in the darkest of nights and seeds grow in dark until the roots and stems are strong enough to break through the dirt and towards the light. The New Moon is the perfect time to set your manifestations as it’s a great time to go within and set the foundation for what it is you’d like to actualize over the next six months. With the New Year in particular, we find the first New Moon in the sign of Capricorn, the sign of Earth and taking action. Here, you begin to set the foundation for the year ahead. It takes some time to get the ball moving and if you haven’t started implementing new habits BEFORE January 1st, it’s going to take some time to get the ball rolling in the winter season of hibernation.
40 is a powerful spiritual number for evolution and birth. Babies are in their mother’s womb for 40 weeks. In Catholicism, the season of Lent is 40 days, and in Kundalini Yoga, we talk about the 40-90-120-1000 method. As you begin to do something everyday from 40 days, you’ll find yourself beginning to rewire the subconscious mind. To begin to implement the new habit, you gotta keep going. Doing it for 40 days allows you to begin to fire neurons in your brain of this new pattern you’re cultivating and creating. Your mindset is the greatest part of your success and consistency is key.
There can me a lot of pressure from the New Year New You movement. As you embark on the year ahead, go back to your sacred why. What does it feel like to embody the upgraded you? How do you see yourself serving hue-manity? Do your desires support the version of you who’s here to elevate the consciousness of the collective as you go forth and contribute to the anchoring of the Golden Era? Foster the habits of future you and take it one day at a time. Work on accomplishing at least 3 things a day. Break it up so that it’s manageable and you don’t burn yourself out during month.
Remember, slow and steady wins the race. Make sure you’re taking time to fill up your cup. Give yourself time throughout your day to B R E A T H E. Commit to doing at least one thing a day that supports your health and wellbeing. Give yourself time to disconnect from technology and to reconnect with nature and your loved ones. The burnout, overworked days can be over if you decide they’re over. Make sure you have a solid support group along the way and cultivate a community of sisters/brothers who can support you and hold space when the going gets tough. The Lone Wolf days are over, my love. This Golden Era is about you cultivating community. We are here to implement change, but it first must begin with ourselves. The inner always creates the outer and each of us has a responsibility here to unleash our medicine with the world.
How do you fill up your cup and honor your work-life balance? Share with me below!
When I told people I was about to dive in to a 40 day Social Media Detox, I got the same response from everyone, “wow. good for you!” It’s not something you really hear from a Millennial. Truth be told, I was addicted to social media for years. The dopamine hits soothed a pained soul who was yearning for love and doing her best to transmute her trauma and heal her pain.
Being someone with a Marketing degree and minor in Sociology. I’ve been doing a deep dive into this new technology and discovering it’s effect hue-manity. It took me walking away for 40-days to feel what life was like without it and wow, was it liberating and spacious.
Now that I’ve resurfaced, I’m taking with me what I learned over the six week detox. This isn’t the first time I’ve done a 40 day experience. I grew up Catholic so Lent was preparing me to make 40 day commitments normal. It wasn’t until I became a Kundalini Yoga teacher that I learned that it, according to Yogi Bhajan who brought KY to the west, 40 days of practicing something for 40 days you begin to break the habit. As you commit to the journey, you begin to rewire your nervous system and activate new neurons in your brain. I’ve done many 40 day journeys. Mending the Lineage was the 40-day Holiday Meditation Experience I shared around the holidays and was holding space for during my social media detox.
I heard that for me to hold enough space for the over 500 people who were committed to heal their ancestral karma, I had to get off Social Media. I needed a break. As I was building my business, I shared my healing journey with the world via Social Media. I received letters and notes from people all over the world how I’ve inspired them and helped them. That was a lot to receive on my nervous system.
I’ve been on a rebuilding journey of my nervous system since being struck by lightning in 2012. It’s been a journey of 4+ year sabbaticals, medicine journeys, years of therapy, personal development, and traveling to cultivate a healthy relationship with myself after years of PTSD. While I count my blessings every day, I always go back to the truth that life is happening for me, not to me and I’m here to live out my Divine Mission to revolutionize hue-manity by helping others unleash their medicine with the world.
This was the first time I took a social media detox for 40 days. While I’ve been at festivals where there’s no cell service, I’ve never had a break like this before. Social Media carries a lot of power and a lot of energy and if you’re an online spiritual business owner, it’s even more important to maintain a healthy balance with technology and disconnection. The answers come in stillness. Preparing for the next round of my Soul Activation Group Experience THRIVE, I knew I wanted to show up as my full, authentic, and energized self so that I can support those who join as they go forth to transmute and heal in order to unleash their medicine with the world.
As I’m at the peak of my Saturn Return, everything has been shifting. After years of doing the work, it was remarkable to take the time to chill and reflect on my journey and evolution. I want you to always remember, you have permission to rest, revisit, and rebuild to actualize what it is you desire to experience. You are here to enjoy life. Allow yourself to have fun, honor stillness, and choose adventure. You make the rules, you’re sovereign. If you’re on the journey and you’ve been trapped or stuck in a narrative, a story, a disappointment, or a lifestyle that feels limited, it’s okay to choose again. This is your reality. Make the most of it and enjoy the ride.
Coming from a lineage of hard workers, I didn’t know what it meant to rest. I had to teach myself rest. Since I was in Kindergarten, I’ve had challenges to slow down, wanting to have conversations during nap time. I found myself beyond burnt out… I was crisp. After a journey of deep healing, then rise back up to the surface has truly been a ride. I’ve had to learn a new way of livin’, a life where I can say no, thank you.
I now choose to give myself permission to honor how I’m feeling and gift myself what my soul needs. Maybe it’s meditation or it’s a day where I leave my phone at home. Maybe it’s me choosing to go dancing or visiting with a friend. If I’m here building my empire, best believe I’m going to enjoy it. I’m going to treat it with respect. We’re here to ENJOY LIFE. The more you enjoy it fully, the more grace you experience, especially when it comes to building your business that’s here to shift the world. Give yourself permission to play and honor that inner child of yours!
My sacred body is on this journey with me and if she’s not feeling great, I choose to honor her and listen to her. Your sacred body is on this journey with you and if she/he’s not feeling great, make the conscious choose to honor it and listen to what it needs. If you ignore what she’s trying to tell you, you’re setting yourself up for disaster.
Our bodies are such a blessing and they are here to help us carry out why we’re here. Since I’ve been on the journey of healing my nervous system post being struck by lightning, I’ve been around a lot of energy + frequencies and have had a grocery list of health issues. Through plant medicines, Kundalini Yoga, lifestyle changes, and doing the deep inner work, I’ve been able to heal my body. Now, it’s time to be a vessel for change because I’m here to revolutionize humanity.
After years of trauma, I was a sponge for years. In Kundalini Yoga we talk about our light body, aka our aura, and the importance of maintaining it’s health. The brighter our aura, the brighter we radiate. Right now, the world needs each of us to rise and glow the truth of who we are. The traumas and pains of our past are simply coming up time and time again because they are yearning for your love.
When weak, we have the opportunity to find our inner light again by going within and transmuting what doesn’t serve. Yes, it takes devotion, but what’s stronger than anything is your willingness to experience things differently. Commit to doing the work. As you build your aura, you create a healthy container to experience expansion and as a result, you Radiate Your Radness. I can promise you, it will be worth it.
Taking a 40 day Social Media Detox is the ultimate space creator. Social Media is a powerful force for social justice, information, change, love. In a world of instant gratification, being willing to take time to slow down and listen, you find in the stillness something rich. It’s your soul talking! Everything is a frequency and things like to come in with ease and grace, not static energy.
As you slow down, you honor more of your feminine essence and if you’ve been someone who’s been hustling and go go go-ing, it’s crucial to calm down your masculine essence. Flow with it. Maintain that balance with hustle and flow, just like your work-life balance. Slowing down allows you to hear the whispers. Think of the African proverb, if you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far, go together.
In the quiet that’s found in stillness, you get the answers faster. Once you get that answer, you are able to take action and the guidance necessary to actualize what it is we desire. As you embody and experience that desirable life, you inspire others to take action. Permission Granted. Here, we come together in community to implement change, healthily.
Instead of being in the rat race of go go go and always having to post or be on for social media, you have the opportunity to experience calmness. The constant movement can be taxing on your body and your energy. You are here to live your best life. Allow yourself to breathe and do the necessary nonnegotiable for your health and wellbeing. It’s also critical to have a healthy nervous system so that you can receive what you’ve been working towards. The parasympathetic nervous system is the mecca for your fight or flight response. Taking the time to honor your body and what it needs, your body becomes more relaxed and you can begin to honor the flow of life.
I invite you to do a social media detox and share with me how it goes. As you do the work, you’ll find yourself becoming increasingly sensitive. This is your opportunity to reset so that you can go out into the world and unleash your medicine with the world.
Intuition instills trust. We’re never alone on this journey and it’s our intuition that allows us to connect to the voice of our soul. which is always looking out for our best interest. As you Stay Woke + embark on your spiritual journey of an authentic life, it’s important to go within because the Universe lives inside of you. Along your soulistic journey, you’ll find yourself being tested time and time again. It’s up to you how you react and which path you choose. Your intuition is always on your side. Cultivating a relationship with this powerful force allows you to trample anything that may hinder you along the way. It’s up to you whether or not you listen to it. If you don’t, you learn through experience. And if you do, you begin to live the life far beyond your wildest dreams.
Practices like Kundalini Yoga and Meditation allow you to not only reprogram your mind and neurons, but you’re also able to cultivate a deeper relationship with your mind, body, and soul. This spiritual practice allows you to cut out the monkey mind and to return to the breath. Through this stillness, we are able to quiet our minds and listen to the inspiration and intuitive hits that are coming our way. Cultivating this clarity allows you to connect to your truth, your Sat Nam.
Overtime, you may be tested, but as you begin to cultivate this relationship with your inner stillness and the Divine that lives within, you’ll begin to trust yourself and to also foster a beautiful and healthy relationship with your inner knowing. This form of exercise will also help you let go of all your plans of what your logical, limited mind may have articulated.
This practice also helps circulate your blood flow and oxygenate your body so that it may be a radiant and vibrant body. As you cultivate this practice, you’ll continue to attract positive experiences and vibrations as you replace these old patterns that once ruled and served. I’ve shared with you some of my favorite mantras to listen to to increase your intuitive powers.
Your body is constantly reading and feeling energy. Because it picks up vibrations, it’s important to begin listening to your gut instinct when it first hits. This means take the time to cultivate a healthy gut and digestion to really hone in to your intuition. Energy never lies. Listen. Listen. Listen! Your gut doesn’t know how to lie. Because your gut lives in your power center known as your Solar Plexus or Manipura chakra, as you begin to believe in yourself, cultivate the self-confidence, and connect deeper to your soul.
Never allow someone shame you for what you’re feeling. If you do, you’re just giving your power away. Going within and allowing yourself to feel what’s arising is your greatest indicator on how you should follow through. If it doesn’t feel right, choose again. If it feels right, go for it! Remember, you have to step out of your comfort zone if you want to experience something you’ve never had before. Trust what you’re feeling.
If you feel a sense of calm and a state of relaxation, it’s the ultimate indicator that it’s the right move. Go back and recall a memory where you listened to your inner voice and ended up with a result that was far beyond your wildest dreams. What did that feel like? And then go back and recall a memory where you didn’t listen to your inner voice and instead were presented with a tough lesson. How did that feel? Recall those memories and honor those feelings as indicators of listening and ignoring your intuition.
If you’re on the constant go-go-go, and don’t have any time for rest and rejuvenation, not only will you be burnt out, but the inspiration will have a more difficulty to flow. Inspiration and intuition are same same, but different. The Universe always has your best interest and all of this is Divinely Guided though Divine Timing. If you’re not ready for the miracle, it won’t come until you can handle it.
Allow yourself to fill up your cup. Often times, those who are intuitive are also empathic. This means taking the time to cater to your needs is crucial. This is the ultimate foundation to anchor in what it is you truly desire. So be patient, honor the journey, and trust the process. It’s all happening. Surrender the outcome and enjoy the ride.
Fear lives in our minds while faith and trust lives in our heart. As you begin to quiet your mind, you can hear the subtlety of the intuition. It comes as a whisper, the language of the lovers. The ego, which resides in the mind, is all about logic, while the Intuition is all about creativity. Deep in your heart, you know what you desire.
When you allow that to be the guiding force, you become a miracle manifester. Our minds contain all the insecurities, doubts, and conditioning. This is your opportunity to go to the place where your soul lives and thrives. Allowing your heart to be your guiding compass, your intuition follows.
Holding on to the limiting beliefs, toxic relationships and habits is only hindering you from living your fullest, most authentic life. Cut through the bad habits once and for all. As you transmute and forgive the past and those who’ve tried to hurt you along the way, you’re showing the Universe that you’re ready to realize what’s meant to be yours.
Your intuition is always leading you in the right direction. If you’re emotionally blocked, you cannot tap into the guidance your intuition is trying to show you. If your body feels like there are energetic blocks, release them through detoxes or cleanses to be a clear vessel.
We live a society where our pineal gland, the home of our intuition within our brain, has been calcified due to tainted food, water, soil, environment, and products. Using fluoride not only calcifies your pineal gland, but it also makes it more challenging to tap into that center. Working with crystals like Labradorite, Selenite, Sodalite, Flourite, Tiger’s Eye, and Moonstone are great tools to protect and connect with your intuition. psst. you can get 20% off at Energy Muse when you use the code SHAMANESSA20 at checkout!
What you’ve gone through up until now no one will ever be able to understand. As you begin to honor where you’ve been and where you’re going, nothing outside of you can steer you wrong. All of it has given you the wisdom to support you along the way. Believe in yourself. You know you more than anyone else. Trust that you are always protected and guided.
Allowing yourself to live in ceremony and seeing life as a sacred ritual allows you to connect to your psychic ability and create the space for the inspiration and intuition to flourish. If your mind is constantly crowded and cloudy, there’s no space for the miracle of your intuition to flow. Practice breathing. Be calm. Allow your highest self to lead the way. Practice non attachment. Create boundaries. See yourself protected in a beautiful white light.
There’s always something happening behind the scenes. Dreamwork has always been a go-to. As you begin to tap into your dreams and recall them on a daily basis, you can begin to see the patterns your subconscious mind is working through. I’ve been using a Dream Dictionary like this one for over 10 years. As soon as you wake up, take some time to not only see what the symbolism of your dreams mean, but to also journal what comes through.
Because you haven’t been influenced by the rest of the noise and energy that’s carried throughout the day when you first wake up, your intuition and your clarity is at an all time high. You can even get to the point of lucid dreaming where you can control your dreams and create your reality you’re experiencing in dream state. Cultivate a relationship with the symbols and reoccurring patterns to see what’s really wanting to be shared with you.
Spirit speaks in the Now, for the Now is all we have. Consciousness lives in the present moment and the more we allow ourselves to honor this very moment, the more we are able to recognize the beauty and gift it is to be alive. As we allow ourselves to live in the space between thoughts, not only do we experience consciousness, but we are able to listen to the subtlety of our intuition.
If you ask the Universe to show you a sign about an inquiry you’re looking for some clarity around, you must be in the present in order to receive. Stay open to what’s coming your way. Release any preconceived agenda on how things are supposed to look and allow yourself to live with faith and trust that all is unfolding as it should.
As you continue to evolve into a multi-sensory being, you realize your intuition is more than a curiosity, it’s an innate knowing that transcends our limited five senses. Remembering that life is happening for you, rather than against you, you begin to reclaim your authentic power and build the self-confidence to not only follow your dreams but to also create your reality that’s in alignment with your soul’s purpose. As you honor your values and your feelings, life becomes easier.
It’s 100% ok to say “No, Thank You” if it isn’t feeling right. This is your life. Your intuition is here to help you survive and thrive during this Golden Era because let’s face it, we need you in your wholeness, brilliance and radiance, living your fullest potential! You are here living out your life, your dream, so stop allowing others and the world outside of you to dictate your happiness. You’re worthy of living a life far beyond your wildest dream! Go for it.
Believe in yourself and your feelings. Find the stillness. Relax. And allow the miracles to unfold. Do you have any ways you love to connect to your intuition? Autumn is coming and wow, is the shift REAL! Since the Great American Solar Eclipse, many have shared with me that they’ve felt a sense of a rebirth. As the Sun + Moon made love, we found ourselves feeling rejuvenated and aligned. I recently had the opportunity to teach THE ALCHEMY SESSIONS at Oregon Eclipse Gathering and wow, did you guys and gals bring it! The amount of healing that happened in that tent was so powerful and impacting, I feel extremely blessed and honored to have witnessed that beautiful experience. I came back from that experience feeling more in my Shakti, my power, my bliss and my purpose than ever before. Cultivating sacred space with 60K+ people for a week was something I will always cherish
Without a doubt, it’s been rough in the default world lately. We’ve been seeing heartless people make insensitive decisions. We’ve seen separation, natural disasters, devastation, and pain. But we’ve also been able to see another side of the human experience lately. Community, activism, connection, courage, faith, and embracing the Now time and time again. This place we call home is always overflowing with abundance. We have the power to honor and accept it, but it’s up to us.
The reason why we don’t always accept the abundance that surrounds us is that we believe we are unworthy of it. When we don’t allow in the gifts life has to offer us, it’s because we believe one of these, if not all.
How do I know… I’ve been there and was there for some time. I was afraid to shine my light, show my face, step up into my purpose… and it felt like shit. It wasn’t until I allowed myself to believe in myself to make the changes that would truly benefit my life. What I know for sure… this work doesn’t happen overnight. I was committed to my spiritual path by embarking on a journey of self-discovery, remembrance, and love. I did the trainings, got the certifications, worked with coaches, fostered a stronger relationship with God, and traveled to distant places to truly align with my soul’s Truth.
I needed time to heal. I needed time to feel whole again. I needed to honor the journey and trust the process. I needed to be with me.
There is no accident why we are witnessing what’s been going on in the world. We’ve been asleep and playing small for far too long. This is the Great Awakening we’ve all been waiting for. Our light within is brighter than you think it is. So please, stop dimming yourself and start getting real.
We are here on a Spiritual adventure. There will always be twists + turns, ebbs + flows, challenges + victories. It’s what’s brought balance and equanimity to this yin + yang polar field. Luckily though, we have the resources to prepare ourselves as we go forth and live out this blessing we call life.
And now, I’m here to help you. It’s my soul’s purpose to support my brothers and sisters to align to a world where people are living on mission with ease and grace. This is how Love takes the lead and helps us navigate through this awakening we are witnessing on the planet.
Taking the time to honor our basic needs, to love ourselves, and to see where we can cultivate more forgiveness, empathy, and compassion is crucial in the world today. But for us to see that in the world, we MUST realize that it has to begin in our personal lives. As we begin to tap into our Divine Source that is always abundant and flowing, we find ourselves brave enough to face our dragons both internally + out in the world through ritual and intention.
When we dedicate and commit ourselves to our wellbeing, it will ripple out to the world. It’s no coincidence why the self-help section is poppin’ over at your local bookstore. We are ready to live on purpose. We have to cut through our shit in order to experience Heaven on Earth… and guess what… OUR TIME IS NOW!
That means being willing to honor your imperfections, love your inner child, forgive yourself and others for past mistakes, live from a space of unconditional love + compassion, remembering that everyone is doing their best based on their level of awareness.
For us to go out in the world and shine our authentic light, we must first fill our cups. That overflow of joy, love, and laughter comes from the abundance of love you’ve cultivated for yourself first and foremost. Committing the time to honor yourself shows the Universe you’re ready for this journey. Luckily for you, I’m here to help you become aware of the areas in your life that are missing your light.

Having support and understanding the power of numerology has been a major catalyst in my growth and evolution. Making conscious shifts like aligning to the connection of this multi-dimensional universe allows you to move beyond time and space that we experience in our 3D reality. Staying Woke means becoming aware as to how the Universe is always here to support you, it’s just wether or not you tap into that infinite potential.
5 is the number of change and when we see numbers repeating, the energy is heightened. According to the angel Doreen Virtue, 555 is an angel number that represents the message of HUGE change throughout your entire life. In order for us to see these changes in the highest possible course, it’s important to be aligned and focused on keeping your thoughts positive, your actions aligned as you stay centered in prayer and affirmations.

All my lovin’
After coming back from holding space as one of the medicine women of Desert Hearts, it was clear what was unfolding in my life. I’m coming up to the 5 year anniversary of my difficult LSD experience back at Coachella and approaching the 10 year anniversary of my best friend taking her life. How fitting is it that all of the instances from my past that played a pivotal role in my life are coming up to the surface this time. With this Full Moon in Libra approaching us, I’m seeing how this is the time for us to find balance between the shadow and the light.
When I think of shadow work, much of it comes from the pain of our past. Stored in our subconscious minds, if we don’t allow ourselves to come from the perspective that the world is unfolding for us, not to us, we allow ourselves to reclaim our power back. To me, this is what sovereignty is all about. When things arrive that may not be all unicorns and rainbows, we can see it as an opportunity to be the alchemist and choose love, recognizing that the icky stuff is arising to be healed, forgiven, and transmuted to help serve the highest benevolence.
What came up for me was the root cause behind the 5 years of psychosis, paranoia, PTSD, anxiety, and all the mental dis-eases that left me debilitated and hiding in the Spiritual Closet. I grew up with my Grandmother letting me know every day, “be careful, it’s danger out there.” That fear-based, limited belief not only wasn’t real, but it also allowed me to play small, believing that life was against me. What I did see was that there were forces outside of me that wanted us to fail. When I say us, I’m speaking for the light workers out in the world. For years, I felt like I was being psychically bullied as I worked on building my queendom. This left me afraid to leave my house, afraid to hang out with my friends, afraid to live my life. When I tapped into my truth and truly recognized just how powerful I could be, I abused my power and found myself mentally tormented by the world outside of me. Simply put, I was raised in a Patriarchal time that while it never resonated, I was taught that to “stand your ground,” you had to be strong and go after what you wanted with full-force, aka super masculine. Clearly I wasn’t balanced whatsoever. What I came to realize is that you find yourself in your truest power when you practice radical self-love, authenticity, and vulnerability as you connect and allow yourself to be divinely guided through your intuition. This is when you are living in a space of neutrality.
Up until now, we’ve been ruled by the Patriarchy, a force of power that instilled and did it’s best to rule the minds of the collective through propaganda, fear, and the belief that we are separate. We see how money and corruption has ruled our media, our government, our freedom, but again, we must allow ourselves to walk by faith, not by sight.
Forgive them, for they do not know what they do. – Luke 23:24
Our subconscious minds are picking up everything around us and it becomes stored in our memory. The Patriarchy came in a time around the birth of Jesus Christ. Up until Christianity, women like Queen Isis ruled and were treated with respect. The people of power were upset that Mary Magdalene was the one who found Jesus, her Twin Flame, in the tomb. They cursed her with the title of a prostitute and for generations, the teachings of Mary Magdalene were far from the truth in order to suppress the power of the Feminine. She was the one who anointed Jesus CHRIST, where the literal translation of Christ is the Anointed One. We are in a time where we are the ones who have the power to anoint ourselves as we recognize that we are ONE with not just our brothers and sisters, but also the Ascendant Masters that surround us and are guiding us through this journey we call life. Remember, time is non-linear which means the past and the future are here with us. In this very moment.
Growing up in a “man’s world,” I was completely disconnected from the feminine energy within me. I saw it as a weakness and something so completely foreign to me. I believe that was why I needed to be struck by lightning. I was going down a path of destruction thinking more about what’s in it for me rather than how can I be the fullest embodiment of love and compassion. Being an open vessel without living with the discernment and recognizing that the negative mind helps keep us safe, I ignored the signs and allowed my ego to take the lead to show the world I was “powerful.” That was a big mistake and a lesson I learned the hard way. It took me going to Brazil to visit John of God to help me overcome the psychosis I experienced. In my heart, I knew I wanted to be a conduit of love and compassion, but the truth was, I had an extremely heavy pain-body that needed my TLC before I could go out and save the world. That’s where I held the beliefs that I wasn’t enough. The beliefs that I was a victim to the world around me. Beliefs that I would never be worthy of experiencing a life filled with love.
When our root chakras are closed or blocked, it relates to how much we were loved as children. We feel that in order to “prove” our safety, we must be destructive in order to stand our ground. That only worked for so long. If you’re awake and aware, you can honor your boundaries and say, “no, thank you.” During a time where I wanted nothing but to be loved and recognized that I was worthy, I allowed myself to be so open and so vulnerable, thinking I was untouchable and living without discernment, I allowed anything to come my way, ready to fight my way to prove that I was a force to be reckoned with. A force that lacked grace, compassion, and ease.
If you as a lightworker aren’t spiritually and psychically protected, the lower frequencies can permeate into your aura and attach onto you like energetic vampires. That’s what happened to me. And while it was hell going through it, I’m grateful I did because through that experience I can come from a space of empathy and compassion to those who feel they’ve been psychically attacked and I can have empathy to those who are psychically attacking others. Simply put, it’s a call for love. By choosing a higher perspective, I’ve allowed myself to reclaim my power and to honor my journey for what it was.
Not knowing the language at that time, I had reoccurring thoughts where I wanted to be released from this dimension. I grew tired of fighting for love, especially when I thought I needed to do it all alone… thank God that’s not true! Over the years, I took the time to heal my ancestral karma and to honor and heal my inner child not just for me, but for my future children and to release the shackles from the subconscious influence from my family and line of ancestors and past lives before me. A little girl who experienced death since the age of 2, I believed God didn’t want me to experience love, only pain, death, and struggle. There was a point where I’d rather be dead than continuing to fight for my right to live a life of love. Luckily, I have a team of badass angels and guides supporting me along the way, ready to help me transmute what no longer served.
Through practices like Kundalini Yoga, meditation, and community gatherings, we can find ourselves as observers of the world we are living, making the conscious choice to take charge and cocreate our reality with the Divine. As we maintain a daily practice and strengthen our auras + nervous systems, we allow ourselves to live in a space of neutrality, riding the ebbs + flows life offers with grace. Through intention and action, we choose how to live our lives. Because we are in the Aquarian Age, we are recognizing the call for community and oneness. This is why we are witnessing such uproar in the world today.
1. Meditation + a daily practice.
2. Recognizing that everything is love or a call for love.
3. Practicing Radical Forgiveness.
4. Taking the time for me to heal whatever arisen and to honor it so that it would be transmuted to help serve the highest benevolence.
5. Allowing myself to release the victim mentality, seeing that everyone is doing their best, based on their level of awareness.
And some people of “power” aren’t so happy about it. As we allow ourselves to do the nitty gritty work, we find ourselves aligned with the light within us as well as finding the light in those around us. We must live by the sutra, Recognize the other person is you. Where can you love yourself just as much as you love those who are using their power to harm and hurt, because let’s face it, there’ve definitely been times where you’ve hurt or harmed yourself based on how you’ve spoken or thought about yourself. The micro creates the macro. This is how we recognize that as we connect to our truth and align to who we really are, pure, Divine expressions of love and light, we will see the world supporting us on our Divine Mission and Purpose. Tapping into our Truth, our Sat Nam, we find ourselves more synchronized to the miracles that surround us. Living our lives guided by faith rather than sight, we can recognize the obstacles that may arise and the teachers disguised as people and friends. We can see that everything is love or a call for love. We are allowing ourselves to see ourselves as whole and complete again as we work through the pain that once ruled our lives and have the courage to let go and transmute what no longer serves. Sometimes it can feel like we are in the middle of a clusterfuck storm. Honor that clusterfuck, for it’s transmuting what no longer serves. This is an opportunity to be the eye of the storm and find stillness as you allow yourself to tune into the inner guidance that speaks in a whisper.
Allow this cosmic time of growth and abundance to shower you with love in all areas of your life. You hold the trajectory of your life. This is the opportunity for you to live your most authentic life. You are enough, all that’s required of you is to tap into your magnificence and to be the lighthouse as you make peace with your past. Seeing that everything up until now has been perfect, you allow yourself to be unstoppable and to be the captain of your soul as you lead by faith.

Ever since I was a little girl, I loved to play with fire. Growing up in the California desert, White Sage was always around. After any gathering, Mom would clear the house and open all the doors to release what didn’t belong in our sacred space. As I got older and dove deeper into my spiritual practice, I rediscovered Palo Santo. As a Peruvian Shaman in my past life, that Plant Medicine became the missing piece in my life. Since then, smudging became my daily ritual. To this day, every client I work with has smudging be part of their daily ritual because it’s the best way to ground and anchor ourselves as we go forth and share our medicine with the world.
Smudging is a form of energy clearing where plant medicines are burned to purify the air and the energy of any space. As the smoke carries, it picks up on dense energy and transmutes it into energy that supports you.
This sacred ritual allows you to clear and release any negative energy in your room or space, including yourself. With your prayers and intentions, ground yourself as you become a pure channel of Divine Light.
As we become more sensitive as we go deeper on our spiritual journey, it’s important to smudge yourself daily so that you aren’t a sponge and picking up everyone’s energy around you. You are a walking expression of Divine Light. Just as a fly is attracted to light, you’re more likely to attract denser energy because it’s craving to be healed by light. As you ground yourself, you are able to stand in your truth with ease and conviction, being the observer of the energy around you. I can guarantee you, once you stop, you can’t stop.
As I began diving into Shamanism, I was introduced to a new plant medicine I couldn’t get enough of. I remember the first time I smelt Palo Santo was in the middle of my Kundalini Yoga Teacher training. One of my sisters decided to burn some after a deep soul retrieval session from a powerful Kriya we were just taught. It became an aphrodisiac for me, turning me on every time I smelt it. It all began to make sense after a Shaman let me know that I was a Peruvian Shaman in a past life who came back to help restore the planet. A lightbulb instantly went on as that smell carried me to lifetimes of me being the Medicine Woman I am today.
Every plant offers different medicine. Dating back throughout generations, Medicine Women and Shamans would burn and use different plant medicines to treat different ailments. It was only recently that we derived away from the offerings and gifts these plant medicines share thanks to the rise of the pharmaceutical industry. As people are awakening and realizing that those drugs are hurting more than helping the body, there is a hunger to get back to basics and utilize the gifts of Mother Gaia. Burning Sage and Palo Santo is far from being a trend. When something makes you feel good time and time again, you realize that it’s timeless. As you burn these plant medicines, it’s good to be aware that each offer something beautiful and unique to your sacred ceremony.
Sage comes from the Latin word “Salvia” which translates as “to heal.” Burning Sage brings forth wisdom and clarity as it increases your spiritual awareness. Carrying more of the Masculine/ Yang aspect, White Sage has been used by Native Americans for thousands of years for cleansing, purification, warding off evil spirits + negative energies. White Sage has been used in ceremonies to seek blessings of health + prosperity, banish evil spirits, and to encourage protection. Collecting heavy energies from an individual or a space, as the smoke clears, the Spirit of White Sage carries with it the negative energy that was once attached back up to the Spiritual Light to be regenerated into something positive.
Going back to the Indigenous People of the Amazon, Palo Santo is still being burned today for Shamanic Ceremonies. These trees hold wisdom as they were once living organisms that have lived on for generations. Known as “holy wood”, Palo Santo is able to be used once these trees have naturally fallen in the rain forest and lie dead for 4-10 years before they are harvested. This Sacred Plant Medicine helps keep the energy grounded and clear while enhancing creativity + bringing forth good fortune. This plant medicine helps calm the immune + nervous systems for faster recovery of illnesses. Providing energetic protection, Palo Santo helps remove negative energy as it uplifts your Spirit. When burning this Amazonian Sacred Medicine, the smoke helps set + seal your intentions. Palo Santo also helps headaches, anxiety, inflammation, and emotional trauma. Allow yourself to raise your vibration as you prepare your meditation space to connect deeper to Source.
It’s my dream to keep the conversation going as to how these medicines have helped support you along your Spiritual Journey. When people look at spiritual teachers, they automatically think and assume we have it all together. We go out there and share our medicine and inspire the world and our audience to step out of their comfort zones. We encourage others to stop playing small because we inherently know that each of us has something unique to offer the world. It’s a known truth that once we step out of our comfort zone and lead with our heart, we will experience Heaven on Earth, far beyond our wildest dreams. My recent trip to Costa Rica allowed me to embrace Madam Butterfly, the goddess of transformation. I found myself playing small time and time again because I felt unworthy. The “who am I?” beliefs arose time and time again and it was beginning to get old and exhausting. The recent lunar and solar eclipse helped me release what no longer served as I realized my magnificence and understood the cries of the collective energy around me was arising in order for me to shower my love for humanity and my soul. Taking the time to embark on this spontaneous trip to this developing country, I allowed myself to get back to basics and the rawness of life. Sleeping on the jungle floor, coming home with some gnarly spider bites on my butt and bruises on my legs helped me remember what living really means.
After a difficult LSD experience 5 years ago, I knew if I wanted to change my perspective and view my life differently, I was going to have to change my habits, my thoughts, my beliefs, and my relationship with myself first and foremost. Years of working with psychedelics, plant medicines, self-care, and self-discovery allowed me to heal many of my past wounds, but there were still some that were bleeding into my present and future. As we allow ourselves to separate from the illusion of our perceived boundaries and limiting beliefs, we recognize where we’ve been playing small and where we’ve been dimming our light. For me, I was playing small in how I loved not just others, but more importantly myself.
For 4 years, I was in deep hibernation. Overcoming deep trauma, psychosis, anxiety, paranoia, and PTSD, I hid my light from the world because of fear. I found myself playing small as I became engulfed with the tormenting thoughts in my head. My dark and pained inner thoughts created my external experience. I lived my life feeling empty and heavy at the same time. What I didn’t realize was the truth that I was tapping into the collective unconscious with the belief the world was against me.
My transition out of the Spiritual Closet began once I turned 26. I was afraid to share my face, my truth, and my medicine with the world. I believed in this fear that my light would disrupt the dark forces of the world and that they were out to get me. I saw how powerful I am, and that scared the shit out of me. I was unstable and lacked a healthy relationship with myself which in turn affected my relationships outside of myself. The craziest thing of all was that up until recently, what I feared most was love. The idea that love could save the world scared the shit out of me because not only was it something so foreign to me, but more than that, it was something I couldn’t control and it was such a foreign concept for me. I grew up “comfortable” in my darkness since I was 3 years old. Fighting a prolonged and repressed depression since I was a young girl, I never knew what it was like to live in love or light even though people would tell me otherwise how much light I brought to their life. I looked for happiness outside of myself and believed that I was unworthy of living my life in love because I always thought the destination would bring me the happiness and love I always yearned for. I pushed love away and hurt those when I was hurting because I didn’t know how to appreciate it, honor it, or recognize it as love. My lack of awareness of my actions left me feeling like not only was I putting my life on hold, but also that it would be impossible for me to achieve my heart’s deepest desires.
As I’ve stepped into my role as a spiritual leader and teacher, I’ve realized to honor my journey and to stop comparing myself to the teachers who guided me along the way from the depths of my soul. As I’ve honored where I’ve been and what is MY truth, I’ve seen what it means to be empowered as I share my medicine with the world. When we honor and accept all facets of our human experience, we become a magnet to those who may come across our path and lead by example. Through vulnerability, we find the courage and allow ourselves to be relatable to our brothers and sisters who may come across the same difficulty along their journey. As we realize that we are all interconnected and that we are NEVER alone, the unnecessary illusion of pressure begins to dissipate and we begin to find ourselves in the flow.
My journey over the past 8 months has been an opportunity for me to witness a rebirth unlike ever before. It’s been a journey where I’ve had to release my need of control and learn to honor the journey + trust the process. Over the years, I’ve had to learn the hard way. In order for us to achieve our deepest desires, we must understand and realize that the journey may not look the way we think it’s supposed to look. I’ve had to learn to quiet my ego and lead with my heart. The ego loves us to play small for this is the way it takes the lead and controls our life. As we awaken to our truth and align with our heart’s desires, we realize the damage our ego has played in our role to serve. Going forth, we must allow ourselves to forgive our wrongdoings and the mistakes we made up until now. We cannot continue to beat ourselves up for what we did or how we acted or reacted in the past, for we are all doing our best based on our level of awareness. When we are leading with our egoic agendas, it’s more difficult for us to listen to our intuition and lead with our heart.
So here I am, perfectly imperfect. Every day I’m working through my fears and doing my best to shine as bright as I can. I’m allowing myself to flow and take the time I need to anchor in my light and my destiny. Good things take time and in order for us to have something last, we must allow ourselves to trust the process for everything is being divinely guided through divine timing. We cannot beat ourselves up just because our path looks different than those around us. If we are to anchor in and live our truth, we must allow ourselves to take the time to heal and honor our pain. We must allow ourselves to be gentle knowing that all of this is perfect. We must allow ourselves to not be distracted from the world outside of us and allow ourselves to tune into our heart, knowing that this is where the true wisdom lies. We have all the answers within. The world we are living in is simply the result of our past thinking. This 3D reality allows us to recognize where in our lives we must forgive and where our love is needed most. Allow yourself to recognize that we are all doing our best for we are all healing wounds of our past somewhere or another. The rebirthing process is never easy, but it can be enjoyable if we allow ourselves to honor it and stay present. When you’re experiencing the depths of your soul, be gentle and kind with yourself. We must make room for all the beauty that’s in store. As for me, I’m doing my best to step more and more out of the spiritual closet and into my truth by remembering to breathe and doing my best to not rush the process.
My body has been FEELING it all. During my last semester of college, I was in a neck brace after being in a head-on accident. With this cold weather, my neck, shoulders, and back are experiencing all the feels.
I’ve been doing my best to honor her and take care of her, aka radical self-love. I’ve heard the call to slow down and b r e a t h e . This Lepidolite was by my side during my John of God journey in Brazil and is continuing to help me today as I am in this phase of transformation + transmuting the lower frequencies of PTSD, trauma, panic attacks, depression, + anxiety that once paralyzed my soul.
My love of plant medicines has given me the opportunity to work with Gaia to heal my body, mind + soul. Turning to the yogi principals and teachings that have been passed down, this is me taking responsibility for my life and my health on a sovereign + conscious level. Lately, I’ve been hearing the call to be drinking more golden mylk!

Ever since the 2016 election results we’ve experienced here in the States, I’ve entered a dark side of the ego. not so much the soul because the soul is always light. 2016 has been a massive ego death year for me. With 2016 being a 9 year, there has been a theme of completion to help clear space for what no longer serves so that we can allow in what’s in store. Being a 9 myself, it was inevitable for me to really run with this year and focus on the task at hand. I’ve felt the momentum approaching. 2017 marks 6 years of embarking on my brand. Over the years, I never knew what it meant to slow down. I was warned a year ago that I needed to slow down, but it was a foreign topic until November 9th came around.
Simply put, I got my spiritual ass beat. Growing up in the restaurant industry, there is no such thing as slowing down. You are hustling to please your customers, running food and flipping tables. While I closed the chapter of working at my family’s restaurant after returning from Burning Man this year, I’ve had to learn what it meant to slow down. As a Gemini Sun, Leo Rising, I’m a spitfire. Growing up, found myself erratic and out of control, especially when I was young, insecure, and obnoxious. Some people couldn’t keep up. If people couldn’t accept me for me, then so be it. I’ve never allowed it to stop me from being the lighthouse. It wasn’t until I reached the threshold where I was forced to slow down was I able to see the lessons coming through.
For two weeks, I mourned. I had a difficult time leaving the house. I slept. I accomplished things on my lists I’ve been putting off for months. I didn’t touch my computer. I visited Joshua Tree twice in three days. I spent time outside, getting to know my neighbors. I took the time to be with my dog, Bud. And most of all, I practiced radical self-care.
When you take on this role of a spiritual teacher, you are constantly helping others. This is all I’ve known. I had to push away the people I love the most because deep down I knew I couldn’t give them the love I genuinely wanted to give them because I needed to learn to be selfish and love myself first. Growing up a people pleaser and in the service industry has been the greatest blessing and curse at the same time. I love to give, but it got to the point that I wasn’t giving to myself as much as I was giving to others.
Since taking the time to honor my soul, I’ve been able to recognize the patterns in my life. I’ve seen that up until now, I’ve loved others more than I’ve loved myself. I’ve seen that up until now, I’ve forgiven others far easier than I’ve forgiven myself. I’ve seen that up until now, I honored others more than I’ve honored myself. I’ve been living with a cup that isn’t full.
Slowing down has allowed me to fillith my cup and allow it to overflow. I’ve allowed myself the time to honor my soul by keeping up with new habits and rituals. This overhaul is presenting me the opportunity to embark on a new lifestyle where I allow myself to flow with Shakti and to simply be. This breathing space is allowing me to live my life the way I’ve always wanted to live. As I am slowly making my way back into the world, I’m allowing myself to appreciate the little things. I’m reminding myself time and time again that all of this is being Divinely Guided and it’s allllll on Divine Timing.
Everything we are going through is simply preparing us for what we’ve asked for. I asked God years and years ago to allow me to live a life where I am of service. A life where all beings are happy and free. A life where I am living on purpose. A life where I am contributing to humanity. A life where I am a healthy mother. A life where I get to be a global citizen and help developing countries. A life where I get to express my god-given talents with ease and grace. A life where I love unconditonally. A life where my partner and I are a power couple who can move mountains together. A life where it feels effortless and simple, yet expanded and adventurous. So yeah, I’ve asked God for an extravagant life because I know I am worthy of living a life beyond my wildest dreams.
This road hasn’t been the easiest. I’m witnessing and recognizing that when I do allow myself to slow down, I’m able to appreciate what’s in front of me. I find myself appreciating the challenges because I know they are making me stronger and wiser. I appreciate the shitty times too because I know they are coming up to be healed and released. All of this is divinely guided and when you slow down, you are able to see the miracle everyday. As I continue to go out into the world and shine my light, I choose to live my life on purpose, inspiring those to whom I cross paths that they have full permission to slow down and appreciate what life is presenting to them. This moment is a gift many souls wish they can experience. Slowing down has allowed me to be focused, committed, driven, and appreciative. Slowing down has allowed me to be more compassionate, empathetic, and softer. If we all slow down, we can anchor in what it is we truly desire. If we slow down, we can tune in to the quiet whisper spirit speaks to us. If we slow down, we can make smart choices that will benefit the highest benevolence. If we slow down, we allow ourselves to tune in to our breath and remember why we are here.
How are you slowing down? I would love to hear what having that moment of Zen is doing for your life. Write in the comments below and share your healing transformation.
