Over the years and throughout my own Spiritual Journey, there has been nothing I’ve accepted and honored more than doing Shadow Work. Now, I know what you’re thinking, “Why on Earth would I ever want to go to that darker side?!” and I get it. But the truth of the matter is simple, we do the shadow work to recognize the light.
The evolution of Spirituality is THRIVING, alive, and well. As millennials, we are redefining what it means to be spiritual in today’s day in age. We are being called to bring our energy and visit the sacred sites around the world to activate something deep within ourselves. We are taking responsibility for our health on […]
All darkness is is the absence of light. We know the stars shine brightest in the darkest of nights and my guest today, is a living and thriving example to the truth that you are not your story. Bryanna Dee is someone who loves talking about the darkness because she knows how rich it is. Here, we find the grit, the strength, the understanding as to why we’re here. We can grow up with trials and tribulations, but the challenges we endure gift us the capacity to be more compassionate and empathetic to those we meet along the way. Life is always happening for us, not to us and with the willingness to dive in deep, you’d be amazed what you find deep within.
I’ve shared time and time again that April was always a challenging month for me. It’s a month of Shadow, death, and loved ones who are no longer on this Earth plane. As a Sovereign Goddess, I make the rules and it’s up to me to choose to align to my destiny and the highest benevolence of truth, love and compassion. I decided that from this moment forward, I’m rewriting the story around April. Now, I honor this time to connect with my ancestors to help guide me through my soulistic journey.
There is always such great beauty in the breakdown. We find ourselves filling, filling, filling, until there gets a point where we just explode. Those breakdowns bring forth the greatest breakthroughs, opportunities for you to face your shit and take action to choose again. This is what happened to me, and now, I’m picking up the pieces. You see, I’m all about honoring all facets of the human experience. I believe in the power of Shadow Work. I know that the stars shine brightest in the darkest of nights.
I want to talk to you about the Spiritual Journey… oh the Spiritual Journey. It’s a wild ride. What they don’t tell you about the Spiritual Journey is that shit can get messy… believe me, I know first hand. Been there. Done that. My story was FAAAAR from being all unicorns and rainbows. My shadows have become the breeding ground for the Sabrina I am today…
When I think of shadow work, much of it comes from the pain of our past. Stored in our subconscious minds, if we don’t allow ourselves to come from the perspective that the world is unfolding for us, not to us, we allow ourselves to reclaim our power back. To me, this is what sovereignty is all about. When things arrive that may not be all unicorns and rainbows, we can see it as an opportunity to be the alchemist and choose love, recognizing that the icky stuff is arising to be healed, forgiven, and transmuted to help serve the highest benevolence.
Today’s episode is one of the most empowering conversations of my life thus far, something I couldn’t even do just weeks ago. Having Sara Gael, M.A. Director of Harm Reduction for MAPS, the Multidisciplinary Association of Psychedelic Studies, + the head coordinator of the Zendo Project, a sacred and safe space for those who are experiencing difficult psychedelic experiences at festival and gatherings was truly an honor.
For 5 years, I was afraid to speak my truth on what was really on my heart. Doing my best to “fit in” the yoga community while doing my best to also figure out who I am, I realized I was hiding in the spiritual closet. For years, I was afraid to shine my light because I carried shame after a difficult LSD experience. After feeling like I disappointed society, I carried that shame until very recently…
In this authentic conversation, Sabrina and Alexandra Roxo dive in deep to pave the road for 2017. As we are in the infancy stages of the year, this is the time for us to anchor in and pave the road for all of the opportunities in store. Both women believe their life is their art and art is a sacred ritual. Theses goddesses know a thing about honoring the human experience.
