There is always such great beauty in the breakdown. We find ourselves filling, filling, filling, until there gets a point where we just explode. Those breakdowns bring forth the greatest breakthroughs, opportunities for you to face your shit and take action to choose again. This is what happened to me, and now, I’m picking up the pieces. You see, I’m all about honoring all facets of the human experience. I believe in the power of Shadow Work. I know that the stars shine brightest in the darkest of nights.
Anahata, the Heart Chakra is developed between the ages of 22-28. There’s no accident that most of our 20s, we are doing the true work of self-discovery. Allowing ourselves to heal the lower triangle that was developed before we turn 21, we find ourselves loving our inner child, seeing what’s happening with our perspective about […]
Oh the Solar Plexus. I’ve been working on this chakra for years. Having experienced most of my trauma during it’s developmental years of 15-21, this was an area that was bound to bring me to my knees. Dealing with issues of low self-esteem, doubt, lack of confidence, abandonment issues, and lack of trust in the […]
The Sacral Chakra. Tied to our sexual and creative force, the Sacral Chakra holds much of our creative power. Known in Sanskrit as Swadhisthana, this power center carries passion, enthusiasm, and creativity. Developing during the ages of 8-14, we find this chakra gaining momentum during our pubescent years. Without a doubt, it’s been rough in the default world lately. We’ve been seeing heartless people make insensitive decisions. We’ve seen separation, natural disasters, devastation, and pain. But we’ve also been able to see another side of the human experience lately. Community, activism, connection, courage, faith, and embracing the Now time and time again. This place we call home is always overflowing with abundance. We have the power to honor and accept it, but it’s up to us.
I want to talk to you about the Spiritual Journey… oh the Spiritual Journey. It’s a wild ride. What they don’t tell you about the Spiritual Journey is that shit can get messy… believe me, I know first hand. Been there. Done that. My story was FAAAAR from being all unicorns and rainbows. My shadows have become the breeding ground for the Sabrina I am today…
When I think of shadow work, much of it comes from the pain of our past. Stored in our subconscious minds, if we don’t allow ourselves to come from the perspective that the world is unfolding for us, not to us, we allow ourselves to reclaim our power back. To me, this is what sovereignty is all about. When things arrive that may not be all unicorns and rainbows, we can see it as an opportunity to be the alchemist and choose love, recognizing that the icky stuff is arising to be healed, forgiven, and transmuted to help serve the highest benevolence.
Ever since I was a little girl, I loved to play with fire. Growing up in the California desert, White Sage was always around. After any gathering, Mom would clear the house and open all the doors to release what didn’t belong in our sacred space. As I got older and dove deeper into my spiritual practice, I rediscovered Palo Santo. As a Peruvian Shaman in my past life, that Plant Medicine became the missing piece in my life. Since then, smudging became my daily ritual.
