We live in a paradigm where we have the whole world at our fingertips… literally. Since the advancement of modern technology, we’ve grown custom to instant gratification. We can tap into that instant gratification to shift our perceptions over to love when we find ourselves caught up. Living in the Golden Era, we have the power to use technology wisely. In an instant, we can turn this train around so that we may follow the path that’s in alignment with the highest benevolence of Truth, Love + Compassion.
Without a doubt, it’s been rough in the default world lately. We’ve been seeing heartless people make insensitive decisions. We’ve seen separation, natural disasters, devastation, and pain. But we’ve also been able to see another side of the human experience lately. Community, activism, connection, courage, faith, and embracing the Now time and time again. This place we call home is always overflowing with abundance. We have the power to honor and accept it, but it’s up to us.
When I think of shadow work, much of it comes from the pain of our past. Stored in our subconscious minds, if we don’t allow ourselves to come from the perspective that the world is unfolding for us, not to us, we allow ourselves to reclaim our power back. To me, this is what sovereignty is all about. When things arrive that may not be all unicorns and rainbows, we can see it as an opportunity to be the alchemist and choose love, recognizing that the icky stuff is arising to be healed, forgiven, and transmuted to help serve the highest benevolence.
Ever since I was a little girl, I loved to play with fire. Growing up in the California desert, White Sage was always around. After any gathering, Mom would clear the house and open all the doors to release what didn’t belong in our sacred space. As I got older and dove deeper into my spiritual practice, I rediscovered Palo Santo. As a Peruvian Shaman in my past life, that Plant Medicine became the missing piece in my life. Since then, smudging became my daily ritual.
When people look at spiritual teachers, they automatically think and assume we have it all together. We go out there and share our medicine and inspire the world and our audience to step out of their comfort zones. We encourage others to stop playing small because we inherently know that each of us has something unique to offer the world. It’s a known truth that once we step out of our comfort zone and lead with our heart, we will experience Heaven on Earth, far beyond our wildest dreams.
My love of plant medicines has given me the opportunity to work with Gaia to heal my body, mind + soul. Turning to the yogi principals and teachings that have been passed down, this is me taking responsibility for my life and my health on a sovereign + conscious level. Lately, I’ve been hearing the call to be drinking more golden mylk!
When you take on this role of a spiritual teacher, you are constantly helping others. This is all I’ve known. I had to push away the people I love the most because deep down I knew I couldn’t give them the love I genuinely wanted to give them because I needed to learn to be selfish and love myself first. Growing up a people pleaser and in the service industry has been the greatest blessing and curse at the same time. I love to give, but it got to the point that I wasn’t giving to myself as much as I was giving to others.
One of my personal go to self-care practices I’ve grown to not only love, but I’ve become obsessed with is Oil Pulling. This practice is my favorite way to start my day. As part of my daily morning ritual, I clear away the yuck of yesterday and live with the intention to start my day with a clean tongue and a clean slate as I recognize that my words are power.
‘This is the way I’ve heard the legend, passed down through the ages.’ A time will come when the earth and all of life will need our help. At this time a tribe will gather from all cultures of the world. They will be recognized by their spirit connection + life giving actions toward the finned, the winged, the creeping crawling, the standing green growing, the four legged, two legged nations and all that is. They will awaken humankind to find a star inside themselves. This star will guide them to overcome the mountains of ignorance, prejudice hatred and fear through compassion harmony and honor. They will find a new song a new dream. The beautiful bow that hangs in the sky after a storm is a monument to these ones.
I believe we are living in this time now. All of us with this vision are the tribe, we are the rainbow warriors, we will heal the world. We are the cherished dream and vision of the ancient ones of long ago.— Silversong Cree / Blackfoot
Up until now, we’ve grown up in a society believing that something or someone outside of us is the one that is going to “fix” us. We travel to distant places, visit healers, participate in ceremonies just so we can be released from the prison we perceive. No doubt, there is a deep yearning right now. While people love to say that spirituality is a “trend,” there is a reason why the spiritual movement has been rapidly growing.
People want freedom. People want to heal. People want to connect with their divinity. People. Want. Answers.
